New Delhi, Feb 11: In the aftermath of Union Law Minister Salman Khurshid's remarks on Batla House encounter, Bharatiya Janata Party on Friday asked Prime Minister Manmohan Singh to come out with the truth over the "sensitive" issue.

While addressing a rally at Azamgarh, Khurshid had said that Congress President Sonia Gandhi cried bitterly after watching the images of Batla House encounter.

Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi, Vice-President of BJP said, "The prime minister would have to break his silence... The prime minister should make it clear today itself if his home minister is speaking the truth or his law minister."

While addressing the mediapersons in Lucknow, Vinay Katiyar, party leader said that Khurshid should be sacked and asked Congress to issue a clarification. Adding to that, he said it was a statement passed by country's law minister and it was "so objectionable that the government should resign on moral grounds."

"It is a matter of concern that there is an internal rift within the government on a matter which is so sensitive... concerning terrorism and national security. Now, terrorism is being given a communal angle and it is used by all for vote-bank politics," said Naqvi.

The BJP leader also called for a "lie-detector test on Union ministers talking differently about the Batla encounter."
