Sleazy movie row in K'taka assembly: BJP ministers resign

Bangalore, Feb 8: BJP ministers Laxman Savadi, CC Patil and Krishna Palemar, who were caught watching sleazy movie in mobile phones during Karnataka assembly session on Tuesday, resigned on Wednesday, Feb 8.

The tainted ministers claimed that they have put their resignation letters as they did not want to fetch more embarrassment for their party - BJP. Meanwhile, Chief Minister Sadananda Gowda accepted their resignations and forwarded the letters to the Governor.

The activities of Laxman Savadi and CC Patil and Krishna Palemar - the Minister for Cooperation and Minister for Women and Child Development and Mangalore in-charge Minister respectively, were unearthed by a private regional TV channel which got permission to telecast the session along with Doordarshan. The speaker adjourned the session soon after the video of the ministers (watching porn clips) was aired in television.

The two ministers were caught doing such shameful act when the state assembly was discussing the controversial issue of hoisting Pakistani flag in Sindgi town of Bijapur district allegedly by right wing Sri Rama Sene activists.

Earlier, Sadananda Gowda had claimed, "It is for the Speaker to take action against ministers if they were found guilty of watching porno clippings in the assembly."
