Popular Tamil movie actress arrested for prostitution

Pune, Feb 5: A popular Tamil actress was arrested , for alleged involvement in a prostitution case from a five-star hotel in Viman Nagar, Pune, Maharashtra, last evening, said the police.

"We laid a trap and sent a decoy customer. Caroline is quite popular in Chennai. She has played heroine in movies- Rain, Wadachalam and others," said Bhanupratap Barge, Senior Inspector (Crime Branch).

According to Barge, the actress, Caroline Mariya Asan has done modelling assignments for textile and diamond companies in Chennai, Tamil Nadu. [Read: Battered baby Falak's real mother forced into prostitution]

A case has been registered against the actress and film studio owner M Rajkumar (32) has been arrested.
