Earlier many feared that Priya might not participate in the election campaign following a rift between Ms Dutt and Congress party over the selection of party candidates for the poll.
However, leaving her distances with other party workers, Priya started her campaigning from Friday, Feb 3. "I am angry that as an MP I was not even given the final names. If you're going to insult a Member of Parliament like this, then don't involve that MP in the process at all," said Ms Dutt.
"Party comes first and I have always believed that. I don't believe in settling personal scores. Having said that I stand by what I said and I think it needed to be said," added the elder sister of Bollywood actor Sanjay Dutt.
According to sources, Ms Dutt was not pleased over Congress' decision to to replace sitting candidates in three seats in her parliamentary constituency. Here it can be mentioned that the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) elections will be held on Feb 16.
