After Swamy's threat, Priyanka to save tumbling Sonia, Rahul

Priyanka Gandhi and Rahul Gandhi
Lucknow, Feb 3: It seems that Priyanka Gandhi is gradually becoming the trouble-shooter for Congress, especially for Sonia Gandhi and Rahul Gandhi. At a time when the Congress led UPA government is facing intense criticism over the 2G spectrum scam, Priyanka once again reached Uttar Pradesh in support of her brother to save his journey in the state during the upcoming assembly election.

Priyanka reached Uttar Pradesh on Friday, Feb 3 to campaign in Rae Bareli and in Amethi for the Congress. When Priyanka visited Rahul Gandhi's constituency for the first time, she had won the heart of millions and many asked her to join active politics. This time when Priyanka is all set to hit the two constituencies, once again it has been assumed that she may succeed in gaining support for both Sonia and Rahul.

Priyanka has started her second round of campaigns when Janata Party chief Subramanian Swamy declared open war against Sonia Gandhi. Earlier on Thursday, the whistle-blower in the 2G scam case had claimed that Sonia benefited 60 percent of the money from the scam. He had also warned that Sonia would be his second target after Home Minister P Chidambaram..

Swamy's threat seems to have worked as salt on wounds with the party already suffering from the 2G scam and the latest verdict of the Supreme Court (cancellation of 122 telecom 2G licenses allocated after Jan 2008).
