Bangalore: Pervert Principal now arrested for forging docs

Bangalore, Feb 2: After residents of Bangalore were stunned when the Principal of a famous international school, the Trio World school was charged and later arrested in carrying out inappropriate conversations with a student in his school, the Principal Paul Francis Meekins is back in the news for allegedly forging documents to get the job.

Meekins is a British national and was arrested by Bangalore police late Wednesday night, according to Sahakarnagar Sub-Inspector Jagadish. He was booked under various IPC sections including 468 (Forgery for purpose of cheating) and 420 (Cheating and dishonestly inducing delivery of property).

The police officials stated that Meekins will be produced before the Judicial Magistrate on Thursday. Meekins was in the news on Jan 22 when reports came out that he had called a seventh standard student into his chamber and talked to him inappropriately and chatted with him on the subject on a social networking site, according to police. The police added that the tainted Principal has already suspended him from school.

In a shameful instance where no background checks are carried out among those who lead responsible roles especially in schools, Meekins is understood to be a favourite among the expat population in Bangalore. The Trio World School where he was a headmaster is a co-education private international school that follows the British curriculum. He has a degree in teaching from the Cambridge University and has also trained and practiced as a lawyer.
