Dinesh Trivedi demands National Policy for Railways
Addressing the 'India Public Private Partnership Summit 2012' in New Delhi organised by industry chamber Ficci, he stressed on automation of railways to decrease accidents as the most of the accidents took place due to human error.
Trivedi also hinted at railway board expansion after the budget session to to make it customer oriented.
Furthermore, he also preferred the setting up of an independent Railway Stations Authority to oversee the makeover of railways stations by way of shopping malls, eating places and other amenities for the travelling public to generate more revenues for the railways.
