Antrix-Devas: BJP slams govt for blacklisting ex-ISRO chief
BJP national spokesperson Tarun Vijay said that "the unsavoury controversy involving senior scientists from ISRO is seriously damaging the reputation of one of India's best and highly respected institutions, of which the country has always been proud."
"The ISRO controversy, blacklisting of top scientists who had given their best in terms of scientific achievement and then again sending signals to rethink on the decision, gives a clear signal that this government has lost all sense of balance and grace to govern the country," he added.
The BJP spokesperson also accused the government of having lost its "grace to govern".
The government action came in the wake of the Antrix-Devas deal in which the private firm was allotted Rs. 60 crore scarce S band spectrum by ISRO allegedly violating rules, when Nair was the agency’s chairman.
Meanwhile, ex-ISRO chief G Madhavan Nair on Monday, Jan 30 demanded that the order barring them from government posts should not only be revoked, but also an apology offered by those responsible for it.
