Poor's messiah Rajinikanth gives Rs 10 lakh to Jayalalithaa

Chennai, Jan 27: The messiah of the poor - Rajinikanth once again proved that he can do anything for people, especially people of Tamil Nadu. The superstar met the Chief Minister - Jayalalithaa on Friday, Jan 27 and gave Rs 10 lakh as donation to help the sufferers of Cyclone which recently hit the state.

Thane cyclone relief fund is gathering money for the victims of the natural calamity. Almost 48 people died and the state faced tremendous loss following the Thane Cyclone which hit Tamil Nadu on Dec 30.

Rajinikanth will soon construct a hospital in Chennai, aimed at providing 'very affordable' treatment to the people.

Rajinikanth on Friday reached Jayalalithaa's place and gave the money. Here it can be mentioned that it was the first meeting of the superstar and the CM after the long-ailment of Rajinikanth. [Read: Thalaivar Rajnikanth back in Chennai; hale and hearty]

Rajinikanth had undergone treatment at a Singapore hospital as he was suffering from several disease including kidney and other gastro-intenstinal problems.
