Cong foresees K'taka polls this year, BSY forming new party
Speaking to reporters, Siddaramaiah added, "Yeddyurappa forming a new political outfit is imminent which will prompt the state to go for an early assembly election any time this year." He also added that the statewide tour planned by Yeddyurappa was not an effort to strengthen the BJP, but a move to blackmail the party's central leadership and pressurize them to reinstate him as chief minister.
He commented that the BJP had no future in the state since it was a "totally a divided house". On the differences within the Congress, he stated, "There were some differences earlier, but it has been resolved after holding talks with some disgruntled Congress MLAs like B C Patil."
He also ruled out chances of a change of guard in the state leadership. This is in reference to earlier reports that said that G Parameshwar will be replaced as Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee President.
