Vellakovil Swaminathan, MK Stalin, Jayalalithaa and Karunanidhi
Chennai, Jan 23: It seems that Tamil Nadu chief minister, Jayalalithaa will not give any chance to her predecessor, M Karunanidhi to heave a sigh of relief. Another former DMK minister, Vellakovil Swaminathan has been arrested on Monday, Jan 23.

Swaminathan has been arrested over his alleged involvement in a land grabbing case and was the fourth DMK minister who has been sent to jail over such allegation just after Jayalalithaa's appointment as the CM of Tamil Nadu.

Veerapandi Arumugham, K Ponmudi and K N Nehru - were the three other former DMK ministers who were arrested and were sent to jail, though later they managed to get bail.

Here it can be mentioned that another complaint has been lodged against MK Stalin who has been accused of pressurising a man to sell a property in Chennai in a cheaper rate to one of his relatives. Staling is Karunanidhi's younger son and the Deputy CM during DMK's tenure in Tamil Nadu.

Karunanidhi's grand-son, Udhayanidhi, a director-producer of Tollywood film industry, has also been quizzed over the same case and sources also informed that both MK Stalin and his son Udhayanidhi might be arrested soon.
