Shame on Mamata's govt, 20 more infant deaths in 72 hours

West Bengal
Kolkata, Jan 20: Over the last 72 hours, twenty infants have died at the Malada Medical hospital in West Bengal.

Acknowledging the condition, the hospital authorities said that the deaths were due to malnourished, underwieght and the babies brought at the last stage.

In spite of regretting, West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee showed her anger over media for conveying misinformation to the people. She urged the party leaders not to listen to the media.

Reacting to the crib deaths, Mamata said that the government have worked to reduce it to 2 percent and her government is confident to bring it down by 25 per cent in the near future.

Trinamool party seems to be comparing their condition with the Left party, where 40,000 kids died.

The authority rejected its negligence and claimed that some of the infants were suffering from birth asphyxia, pneumonia and others were born premature.
