Oprah Winfrey's bodyguards beat journalists in Mathura

Mathura, Jan 19: Oprah Winfrey, whose India visit stormed Bollywood and Amitabh Bachchan's family, landed in a controversy when her bodyguards beat video journalists who were trying to cover her visit in Mathura on Thursday, Jan 19.

After beating the scribes, Winfrey's bodyguards also smashed the video cameras which the journalists were using to capture a glance of Winfrey who was waiting to enter a temple in Mathura.

Winfrey, an American media proprietor, talk show host, actress, producer and philanthropist, came to India recently. In between her party with business tycoon Anil Ambani to the superstars of Bollywood, Winfrey visited many slums to donate money and get idea about real India.

Post scuffle, Winfrey left Mathura and reached Agra on Thursday and visited Taj Mahal. However, Winferey's Mathura visit has been marred when three of her bodyguards were arrested following a complaint filed by the cameramen whose video cameras were smashed. Later after writing an apology letter to the media personnel, the three arrested bodyguards were released.
