AP CM Kiran Kumar Reddy awaits Cong nod on Cabinet rejig
The CM will visit Delhi after participating in developmental programmes in the Medak district, that includes launch of 'Bhoomi: Citizens charter'.
Though the cabinet reshuffle is scheduled to take place on Jan 19, sources reveal that the issue could be postponed to Jan 20 or 23 in case the talks over the issue are delayed.
Congress has been protesting over the inclusion of only PR leaders into the Cabinet, especially MLC C Ramachandraiah.
"The Chief Minister is seeking a reshuffle so that he could take up development schemes more effectively," said a source close to the CM.
With the elections on its way in 2014, Kiran Kumar Reddy has been insisting on an effective Cabinet so as to ensure effective execution of developmental schemes.
Sources reveal that the CM is planning to take induct Uttam Kumar Reddy and Damodar Reddy, Nalgonda leaders into the Cabinet. Apart from them, former PCC chief D Srinivas, Paladugu Venkat Rao, JC Diwakar Reddy, Mohammed Jani and others are also on the CM's list.
