Leaving no stone unturned to build the party's campaign on social networking sites, the politicians have uploaded their individual ad campaigns, songs, slogans and videos. Moreover, political parties have also uploaded day-to-day happenings, information on rallies, list of candidates and photo galleries, which are available on the Facebook accounts and websites of main leaders.

Recently, targeting present Chief Minister Prakash Singh Badal, former Chief Minister and state Congress president Capt Amarinder Singh’s website www.captainforcm.com has uploaded a song, "Ki banu Punjab da."

The forthcoming Punjab assembly election will create a massive competition between the ruling Akali Dal-Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) combine and the Congress. Moreover, Peoples Party of Punjab and Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) are also in the fray with their candidates in various crucial seats. Meanwhile, Punjab Assembly elections will be held on Jan 30.
