After Kingfisher, Air India flights to be cancelled soon?

New Delhi, Jan 10: Travellers, who are planning to travel with Air India, beware before booking your air tickets. Air India may face a Kingfisher-like crisis as many of its crew members refused to fly on Monday, Jan 10. Experts feared that if the similar kind of situation prevails, then flight operations of the national carrier will definitely be hit soon.

The cabin crew members of several international flights working with Air India showed a protest on Monday claiming that they have not been paid their salaries since last two months and also have not been given their sustenance allowance for last five months. Talking about the difficulties that the crew members have been facing since last few months, an official have been quoted as saying, "Since August we have been paying from our pockets for expenses incurred in foreign countries."

Another crew member, meanwhile, chided, "We have received zero salary since the last two months. We cannot afford to fly on international flights and pay for our lunch, dinner abroad any longer. We are not flying as we have no money to pay for food abroad."
