New Delhi, Jan 7: Senior BJP leader Uma Bharati clarified that she has no issue with the BJP president Nitin Gadkari over the induction of tainted Uttar Pradesh minister Babu Singh Kushwaha, who was convicted in a multi-crore scam related to the National Rural Health Mission (NRHM) under Mayawati's regime. Uma urged the members to discuss the issue within the party forum and not in the media.

Uma had expressed her dissidence over Kushwaha row that has created ripples in the party. She announced that she won't be able to campaign for the upcoming elections after Jan 9 due to her health condition. Uma is the incharge of BJP for Uttar Pradesh poll campaign.

"BJP need not petition President on Lokpal; instead, should create internal Lokpal to screen and admit only corrupt applicants like Kushwaha," Abhishek Manu Singhvi, Congress spokesperson tweeted

Maneka Gandhi also showed her dissent on the party's stand over the issue.
