Bhanwari Devi
Rajasthan, Jan 6: Months after auxiliary nurse Bhanwari Devi was abducted, the CBI which successfully unraveled the mystery found that the nurse was killed. OneIndia brings to you an insight into how Bhanwari Devi was abducted and later murdered.

Reports reveal that on Sept 1, 2011, the day Bhanwari Devi went missing, she had left her house to get Rs 50 lakh after finalising a deal for the sex CD that featured her and sacked Water Resources Minister Mahipal Maderna. She was asked to meet Sohan Lal Bishnoi, the man who was negotiating the deal at Bilara, where the CD would be bought by another man, Raju Bhai.

After reaching Bilara, Bhanwari was received by Sohan Lal and Raju Bhai, who had come in a Bolero car. Bhanwari got into the car unaware that Raju who was actually Sahabuddin, was the gunslinger, hired to kill her.

While Raju watched the 52 minutes sex cd that featured Bhanwari Devi and Mahipal Maderna, Baldev, the former's accomplice followed them in another car.

After Bhanwari sensed trouble, she started screaming for her life. Baldev joined the other two and allegedly killed her in the Bolero itself. Forensic evidence has been found by the CBI to back their claim.

After the nurse was murdered, her body was handed over to Kailash Jakhar, who belonged to the Bishnaram Bishnoi gang.

The trio were then directed by Sahiram Bishnoi to hand over the body to Bishnaram's gang, who later burnt the body in a crater and immersed the ashes into a nearby canal to destroy evidence.

The series of events uncoiled after Kailash Jakhar confessed to the CBI.

The CBI also recovered a gunny bag from the canal where Bhanwari Devi's remains were wiped away. Sharp edged weapons and two pistols were found in the bag, which has now been sent for forensic examination.

The Rajasthan administration has also stopped the water flow in the Rajiv Gandhi canal, so as to help the CBI in collecting more evidence in the case. The CBI is also trying to find out whether the plan included killing Bhanwari after abduction.

CBI sources reveal that Amarchand, husband of Bhanwari Devi who also played a part in the kidnapping of his wife, did not know that she will be killed. He apparently thought that the nurse would be back home after 10 days.

Ever since the case hogged the limelight, it had taken several twists and turns with multiple theories emerging about Bhanwari's abduction. The air was cleared when her husband finally gave into telling the truth to the CBI.
