Pragati Maidan
New Delhi, Jan 5: With the much-anticipated Delhi Auto Expo to kick off from today (Jan 5), there is more scare than excitement in the event that is expected to see thousands of auto enthusiasts converge at one of the biggest automobile exhibitions at the Pragati Maidan.

It has been reported that the organisers of the Delhi Auto Expo have not got the necessary clearance from the Delhi Fire Service that is needed. The fire brigade officials have already pointed out the gaps in the fire safety arrangements at the venue. They have ordered the organisers to rectify the issue as soon as possible.

The fire officials revealed that the organisers have not got back to them or updated them about the preparedness and also have not got the fire safety clearance as well. It has also been alleged that the organisers failed to respond to the officials in spite of repeated calls and SMS.

More than one lakh people are expected to visit the high-octane 11th Delhi Auto Expo that will start from Jan 7 till 11th. The event will see as many as 50 global brands showcasing their enviable range of swanky wheels to the public.

With a large number of people expected, the organizers have decided to restrict the number of people inside the venue to one lakh. This includes 30,000 people from the exhibitors' side. This could result in a serious dent in the Auto Expo gaining the tag of the world's second-largest auto show in terms of footfalls.
