Arrested AMRI directors to walk free?
The Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FICCI) had on Tuesday, Jan 3, strongly objected the arrest of the AMRI directors. They had called it 'anti-industry' and not 'completely non-discriminatory'.
FICCI further demanded the immediate release of the directors as they were not responsible for the day-to-day operations of the hospital.
Arguing their point, FICCI had said that the offenders should be punished only after a transparent enquiry holds them guilty.
Meanwhile, the West Bengal police on Tuesday announced compensation for 29 kins of the deceased.
