War over Indira Gandhi: Mamata bashes Congress
The Congress demanded a clarification from Mamata and her party over their controversial proposal to change the name of Indira Bhawan - the official residence of former West Bengal CM and late CPI(M) leader, Jyoti Basu.
Leaders of Trinamool Congress claimed that the house's name should be changed by the name of famous Bengali poet - Kazi Nazrul Islam.
Citing protest by Congress youths, Mamata showed her rage against Congress and senior leaders of the party. The sole woman CM of West Bengal chided that she had never used any slangs or bad language against Sonia Gandhi or against any other Congress leaders. She also asserted that Congress always uses insulting statements against Mamata and her party leaders and workers.
Mamata and the Congress spokesperson, however, asserted that all disputes between Trinamool and Congress over FDI, Lokpal Bill or changing the name of Indira Bhawan will not affect their alliance in the centre.
