Trouble knocks Baba Ramdev's aide Balkrishna's door again
Balkrishna has also been asked to appear on Jan 10, in front of the federal money laundering agency headquarters in New Delhi.
The case against Balkrishna has been registered by the ED under the provisions of the Foreign Exchange Management Act (FEMA) as said by a report in the Reserve Bank of India (RBI).
Reports also reveal that notices were issued to four companies and trusts linked to Baba Ramdev. Notices were also issued to Vedic Broadcasting Limited which runs Patanjali Ayurved Limited, Aastha channel and Divya Yog Trust for violating the FEMA norms. Balkrishana is reported to have 99.9% stake in the Vedic Broadcasting Limited.
The ED in Jun had written to the RBI seeking details of the transactions carried out by the yoga guru's trusts. RBI also informed ED that Ramdev did not claim Rs 4 crore that was due to his trust.
