Rajinikanth with Anna, gives marriage hall to IAC Chennai

Anna Hazare and Rajinikanth
Chennai, Dec 26: Rajinikanth, who has won the hearts of all Indians, especially that of the Tamilians with his acting in Tamil films and through numerous charity works; once again showed his generosity when he sanctioned the Raghavendra Kalyana Mandapam (RKM) to the India Against Corruption (IAC) Chennai.

Ahead of Anna Hazare's 3-day fast and 'Jail Bharo' agitation, starting from Dec 27, the Tamil superstar allocated RKM to the IAC Chennai as the venue for their (Anna's supporters) protest against the government demanding to bring a strong Lokpal Bill.

RKM, the marriage hall in Chennai, is owned by Thalaivar Rajinikanth. The members of IAC Chennai on Monday, Dec 26 have been permitted to start their work at RKM to set up the venue for the protest.

Meanwhile, sources informed that 74-year-old Anna, who is currently down with viral fever, claimed that nothing could stop him from holding his agitation for Lokpal. He is adamant to hold the fast at MMRDA grounds in Mumbai.

Posing a threat to Congress President Sonia Gandhi and other government officials, Anna said, "I will hold a dharna outside Congress president Sonia Gandhi and general secretary Rahul Gandhi’s house in New Delhi. I am ready to face lathis during this agitation. There are some people waiting to see that his agitation takes a violent turn and hence you should see to it that the agitation happens peacefully."

However, Rajinikanth's support to IAC is believed to have geared up the youths in Chennai. Team Anna's 'jail bharo' campaign had registered nearly one lakh people in less than 48 hours of its launch.
