Family kills teen for involvement in obscence MMS clip
The family, however, refuted all charges saying that the girl committed suicide as she was unable to bear the shame.
The post-mortem report revealed that the girl’s hyoid bone in the neck was broken, thus raising suspicion that it could be a case of 'honour killing'.
“We suspect the case to be an ‘honour killing’. Even though the girl’s parents claimed that she committed suicide; the postmortem revealed that the hyoid bone at her neck was broken. A detailed report is expected," said IG C Sylendra Babu, North zone.
The police is on a lookout for the boys involved in circulating the MMS clip of the girls. Three school boys were arrested by the police on Friday, Dec 23 in connection with the death of the victim, K Thilagavathi.
A complaint was lodged by her father which stated that the girl committed suicide after her MMS clip along with other few boys and girls in a compromising position were doing the rounds.
The police said that the five boys, including two girls along with Thilagavathi were students of class 11 in a government school in Madharpakkam near Gummidipoondi. They made the MMS clip when no one was present at the school. While they indulged in the obscene acts, few boys filmed the whole clip and circulated it among their friends.
