Lokpal row: Minority clause likely to be added

New Delhi, Dec 22: The much debated Lokpal bill will likely have minority clause, said sources.

Earlier, the government had dropped the term 'minorities' from new Lokpal Bill with regard to 50% quota in the Lokpal bench. But on Thursday, Dec 22 Mulayam Singh and Sharad Yadav opposed the draft saying that there should be a quota for minorities in the bill.

RJD Chief Lalu Prasad Yadav had also alleged that minorities had been kept out of the Lokpal bill under pressure from RSS and BJP.

Meanwhile, the Lok Sabha has been adjourned till 3.30 pm over the demand for inclusion of minorities in the government approved Lokpal draft.
