Karnataka plans to create resident data hub
“(The proposed) Karnataka Resident Data Hub will link all databases of Government,” Principal Secretary, e-Governance Department, Information Technology, Biotechnology and Science and Technology Department M N Vidyashankar told PTI here.
The government has also proposed anywhere registration of properties in Stamps and Registration Department.”The project which has already been started in Bangalore city will be extended throughout the state soon.”
A state service delivery gateway is also on the anvil, Vidyashankar said. It means there would be a single window for ‘G2C’ (Government to Citizen) and ‘G2B’ (Government to Business community) services, with availability of all forms and proform online.He said filing RTI and public grievances would soon be just a phone call away.
“Now the citizens are to approach the Government officers either through post or in person for information under RTI.
A system is being developed where a citizen can file his request through a phone call or to integrated portal of RTI and Public Grievances,” Vidyashankar said.
According to him, the State Government has made available e-Procurement platform to enable all its procurements to be made through the electronic mode, transparently under this e-procurement project.
“Being a web based solution; anybody can participate without any hindrance/entry barriers” he said.
