Bangalore, Dec 19: Former Karnataka Chief Minister B S Yeddyurappa said that he was ready to take up the post of Chief Minister again if his party's central leadership gave him a chance.

Recently, 17 MPs has submitted a memorandum to Bharatiya Janata Party senior leaders L K Advani and Nitin Gadkari demanding the CM's post for scam-tainted Yeddyurappa.

"I will take up the CM's mantle if given a chance. I met BJP national leader during my recent visit to New Delhi. They are convinced of my capabilities to lead the party and the state. If the central leadership wants me to become the CM again, I will do that," said Ex-Chief Minister.

Meanwhile, BJP central leaders said that Yeddyurappa will have to wait for a month before taking any decision on reappointing him as Karnataka chief minister.

Moreover, Yeddyurappa made it clear that he would not quit BJP if he was not reappointed as state chief minister. State senior leader Yeddyurappa has been pressurising to reappoint him as Karantaka chief minister on BJP central leadership.
