Anna arrives in Bangalore; IAC spends Rs 6 lakh on event?

Bangalore, Dec 17: Anna Hazare, face of India's anti-corruption movement, has arrived in Bangalore on Saturday, Dec 17 to gather support for his proposed protest. He will address the crowd at the Freedom Park.

Following Anna's event, Bangalore police have made elaborate security arrangements in view of huge gathering in support of anti-corruption movement.

Sources said that members from India Against Corruption (IAC) have spent about Rs 6 lakh to organize the event in Freedom Park, Bangalore, wherein about 15 thousands of enthusiastic supporters are expected to assemble. Later in the evening Anna will participate in a rally organized by volunteers of India Against Corruption.

Earlier, Anna Hazare had threatened a 'jail bharo' agitation from Jan 1 if an effective Lokpal bill was not passed during the Parliament's winter session and also warned that he would sit-in protest outside the houses of Congress president Sonia Gandhi and her son Rahul Gandhi.
