The demands were put by Ram Vilas Paswan and Lalu Yadav during the Lokpal meet. The government's move will placate SP, BSP, LPJ and RJD.
The government had said that the Lokpal Bill will be brought next week and the session would be extended by a day, if required. The winter session of the Parliament will be over on Dec 22.
Similar demands have been made by All India Confederation of SC/ST Organisations earlier that the Lokpal Bill include anti-graft law for backward communities as well.
“Of course there is rampant corruption and price rise. But the fight against it should not undermine the Constitution drafted by B R Ambedkar,” Udit Raj, All India Confederation of SC/ST Organisations, had told earlier.
"There are difference of opinions between what their (Anna Hazare) and our Bill seeks. We are afraid that in future, people like Anna Hazare can ask the government to do away with reservation under the threat to commit suicide or fast-unto-death. This is unacceptable," he had said on why he differed with Anna Hazare's move.
Meanwhile, the cabinet will take up the Lokpal issue on Dec 19. The government also asked Anna Hazare to have patience on the Lokpal issue.
