Neeraj Grover murder: Bail hearing of Emile Jerome today
On Wednesday, a division bench of Justices V M Kanade and M L Tahalayani said that they were not inclined to grant Jerome bail as it has been found that there was circumstantial evidence against him.
Jerome has sought to be released on bail pending hearing of his appeal against conviction.
The state government's appeals challenging the trial court order convicting Emile Jerome to ten years imprisonment for culpable homicide not amounting to murder and his fiancee Maria Susariraj, a Kannada actress, of destruction of evidence, are also pending with the court. The prosecution wants both of them to be convicted for murder.
However, Maria was released from jail on Jul 2, 2011 after spending three years behind the bars.
