Accenture suspended from Maharashtra panel of IT firms
Accenture is one of the IT firms associated with Unique Identification (Aadhaar) project in the state. In a letter, Under Secretary (IT) Santosh Bhogle has said the Government had on November 26 and December 12 brought to the company's notice about its "poor performance" (regarding Aadhaar) but of no avail.
"Even after repeated attempts to sensitise your organisation regarding sub-standard work, we do not see any improvement," he said.
"Also due to lack of control of management, Accenture is temporarily suspended from five consulting firms listed in Government Resolution dated July 5, 2011 with immediate effect," the letter said. Accenture could not be contacted for comment.
