Bhanwari sex scandal: Cong MLA's house raided

Jaipur, Dec 14: Despite being summoned by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI), Malkhan Singh Bishnoi failed to appear before the investigative agency. Citing the inaction from the MLA's side, the CBI raided his residence in Jodhpur on Wednesday, Dec 14.

The CBI had summoned Bishnoi to appear at the CBI head quarters before 11 am on Wednesday. Officials from the agency raided his residence in connection with the Bhanwari Devi missing case.

Spokesperson of Bishnoi stated that he might be in Delhi undergoing some treatment, however, sources informed that the Congress MLA is in Bangalore consulting the case with advocates.

In a startling revelation, Bhanwari Devi's husband Amarchand had said that his youngest daughter was actually fathered by the Congress MLA Malkhan Singh.

Malkhan Singh is one of the main accused in the kidnapping case of Bhanwari Devi. However, there is still no news of Bhanwari Devi's whereabouts.

The main accused in the case, sacked Congress Minister Mahipal Maderna during the course of interrogation had confided that Malkan Singh and Bhanwari Devi had a long relationship and it was Malkhan Singh who introduced the nurse to Maderna. The sex CD that had come out also backed the claim that showed Maderna and Bhanwari in a compromising position.

It was also found by the CBI that Amarchand had taken his car to repair to Pipda on the day Bhanwari went missing. The CBI later found that no repairs were carried out in the said car which led to suspicions on why he took the car there.
