Kolkata hosp fire: Singur forgotten, Tata praises Didi
Ratan Tata, praising Mamata for her prompt action to handle the crisis over fire at AMRI hospital, tweeted from his personal Twitter account, "The swift and firm action of the Chief Minister is commendable."
"The heroic actions by the 3 deceased staff members also need recognition. Doctors and attendants allegedly leaving patients to die unattended in these circumstances is unbelievable and deserves condemnation," added Tata while criticising the acts of the doctors and the hospital authorities at AMRI at Dhakuria, Kolkata.
Tata, who earlier was upset with the West Bengal chief minister over the Singur issue, seems to have forgotten the battle which was started over acquiring of firmland in Singur for Tata's Nano car project.
Here it can be recalled that the Calcutta High Court on Nov 3 granted continuation of the stay of the trial court order validating the Singur Land Rehabilitation and Development Act which has been challenged by the Tatas.
Here it also can be mentioned that all seven directors of the hospital have been sent to police custody over the deadly fire accident which killed at least 90 people and left many injured on Friday, Dec 9.
