Strong Lokpal Bill: Anna leaves for Delhi to hold token fast

Anna Hazare
Ralegan-Siddhi, Dec 10: Anna Hazare on Saturday morning left for New Delhi to hold his day-long token fast on Sunday to protest against the government version of Lokpal bill.

Anna promised to continue his fast till his last breath. Before leaving for New Delhi, he addressed his supporters and said, "This is the second struggle for independence and we shall have to make many sacrifices."

On his plan of resuming another agitation, Anna said, "I shall not rest till a strong Jan Lokpal Bill is enacted, I will fight till the last breath. If the government fails to enact the bill soon (from Dec 27), I shall go on indefinite hunger strike." Anna has decided to sit on a day-long fast at Jantar Mantar ignoring medicos' advise to take rest for a couple of days before the agitation.

On Friday, Anna had blamed the centre and Congress general secretary Rahul gandhi on the weak lokpal draft tabled in the parliament.
