Bangalore: Ill-effects of Live-in, lover stabs actress

Bangalore, Nov 30: Sowmya, a Kannada actress who has worked in a comedy movie - Huduga Hudugi, has been stabbed by her boyfriend with whom she has been staying in a live-in relationship since 2009.

Suspecting Sowmya of her involvement in other relationships, 28-year-old Anil Kumar alias Rahul, who is a dismissed DAR constable, stabbed the actress in their residence in Judicial Layout on Tuesday, Nov 29.

Receiving serious injuries on neck, right hand, stomach and abdomen, Sowmya was rushed to hospital where she is admitted to the ICU.

According to sources, Rahul, who has a child with his wife, has been fighting a case in court for divorce and Sowmya has been funding the money.
