B'lore: Jamshedpur-based software engineer commits suicide
It is believed that the victim Chaya Singh took the step following her boyfriend's parents' reluctance for alliance.
Chaya Singh worked as a software engineer at Electronic City and lived in a ladies PG since past two years. She was found hanging from the ceiling of the bathroom by other women in her PG after she did not come out of the bathroom for a long time.
In a suicide note that she left behind, she apologised for taking the extreme step adding no one was responsible for her death, said police.
Meanwhile, Journalist, writer Smitha Rao who worked as an Assistant Manager at Infosys Technologies Ltd, Bangalore also committed suicide at her apartment at Geddalahali owing to work pressure, revealed reports.
However, her parents allege that it was due to her husband's harassment that she ended her life.
She worked as a Deputy City Editor with the Bangalore Mirror and as a Senior Correspondent with the The Times of India.
She later ambled into the corporate world and started her venture with Infosys in 2010 and handled the online content for the website.
