MMS: Student rusticated for carrying obscence content
"We received an anonymous call on Thursday night claiming that some students of the higher secondary section were circulating porn material during class. Reacting to the call, we arranged for inspection of schoolbags of all the students of the higher secondary section. We found two CDs with obscene contents from the bag of a class XI commerce student. We called his parents to the school to discuss the matter."
"To put an end to such activities in the future and to set an example for discipline in the school, we terminated the student," Patel said adding, "Efforts to contact the student's family failed."
The school authorities also recovered a cell phone in the bag of a class XII girl.
"We confiscated the phone and suspended the student for a week. We have not been able to go through the contents, as it is password-protected. The girl refused to share the password with us or with her parents, whom we had called to school," said Patel.
School sources revealed that there could be a possibility that the girl's phone also had some obscene content or MMS clippings.
