J-Dey case: Asian Age scribe aware of impending arrest

Mumbai, Nov 27: The accused Asian Age scribe, Jigna Vora in MiD-DAY journalist, Jyotirmoy Dey's murder had reportedly told her family that there was a possibilty of her getting arrested soon.

The journalist was arrested after she was on her way leaving for a darshan in Shrinathdwara temple in Udaipur.

According to a family friends, Vora had told her family three days before she was arrested that a journalist was being suspected to be involved in the case and it was her.

"Without giving prior notice, the police arrested Jigna. I hope she is released soon," said Sanghvi, Vora's grandfather.

"We have not discussed with her about all this as she used to come home late at night and sleep late. We are aware she is a crime reporter and coming late is part of her job," said Sanghvi.

The Mumbai based journalist has been accused of giving out the details of the bike number of Jyotirmoy Dey and his residence to Chotta Rajan, whom she thought was a party with the Chotta Shakeel gang.

Crime Journalist Jyotirmoy Dey was murdered in broad daylight by unidentified assailants, who were later found out to be hired by Chotta Rajan.
