Sharad Pawar
New Delhi, Nov 24: Union Agriculture Minister Sharad Pawar was slapped at the New Delhi Municipal Council (NDMC) auditorium on Thursday, Nov 24.

The Minister was slapped by a young man identified as Harvinder Singh who claimed that he earlier slapped former Telecom Minister Sukhram on the day when he was sent to Tihar jail over corruption allegations.

Being frustrated over continuing corruption and scams in the nation, Harvinder claimed to have adopted the responsibility of the aam-admi who has been suffering over food inflation, price rise. [Read: 'Slapped only once'; Anna comments on Sharad Pawar assault]

Harvinder, who was taken under police custody soon after the attack on Pawar, faced the media and chided that he was ready to kill the "corrupt minister" if he would have been allowed. [UPDATE: Pawar's men shut Maharashtra]

Meanwhile, shocked Pawar claimed that he does not have any idea about the reason of the attack and why he has been slapped. However, such attacks on union ministers clearly show the growing rage among the aam-admi over increasing price rise, food inflation and corruptions by the political leaders and babus in the nation.
