LS to debate price rise on Day 2 of winter session
"We are ready to discuss price rise and the situation of the Indian economy," said Gurudas Gupta, CPI leader.
The BJP parliamentary party will meet on Wednesday Nov 23 to draw a plan. The party has been insisting that a discussion over the issue of black money take place and has been putting pressure on an adjournment motion.
"This government is not prepared to recognise inflation as a problem of national economy," said senior BJP leader, Yashwant Sinha.
The Parliament on day 1 of the winter session was adjourned after there was a ruckus with the opposition boycotting Home Minister, P Chidambaram.
The bedlam took place despite an appeal made by Prime Minister Manmohan Singh, that the session run smoothly so as to enable important legislative business.
The Lok Sabha was adjourned twice on Tuesday, Nov 22, once during the question hour and the other time for the day after noon resulting in a loss of about four hours of work.
A ruckus was created in the Lok Sabha by the opposition when P Chidambaram tried to answer a question from Raghuvansh Prasad Singh, Rashtriya Janta Dal member.
