Delhi: Rs 1cr demanded, Dawood's fake MBA henchman arrested
Police arrested Dawood's fake aide when he was accepting the first installment of Rs 50,000. Police recovered the cell phone which was used to threaten the businessman.
The Police official has been quoted as informing, "On Monday, the complainant agreed to pay the first instalment after informing the police. The accused frequently changed the location where the money was to be delivered, instructing the businessman to drop the amount at Connaught Place, Jantar Mantar and then Palika Bazaar, before asking him to hand over the bag to the shopkeeper of a kiosk on Jai Singh Road near YMCA."
"We asked a policeman to pose as the shopkeeper. The accused came after 15 to 20 minutes asking for the bag containing the money, and was arrested," added the official.
The accused, who has been identified as Vivek Singh, was an ex-employee of the complainant and he claimed to have completed MBA in 2008 from National Institute of Business Management, Chennai and then did post graduation from YMCA, Delhi.
