Rs 60cr DA case: Jayalalithaa opens all secrets of 'booty'
Answering to all relevant questions regarding the case, the CM informed that she gathered all 10,500 sarees (750 pure silk), 750 pairs of footwear, gold ornaments and silver items as her memento of the 120 films in which she acted. Jayalalithaa also clarified that those saris, jewelleries, footwear, which were seized during a raid in her Poes Garden residence in 1997, should not be included in the list of assets possessed by her.
Tamil Nadu chief minister claimed that she has only one asset and that is her Poes Garden residence in Chennai. Calling Janata Party President, Subramanian Swamy's complaint against her as "false" and "fabricated", Jayalalithaa also said that the DA case has been hurled against her to tarnish her image.
Speaking about the controversy over her adopted son VN Sudhakaran's wedding, AIADMK chief said that famous music director, AR Rehman did not take money for the music night performed at Sudhakaran's marriage ceremony.
The court hearing (to question the other accused in the case) has been adjourned till Nov 29 and it would be conducted in a special court in Bangalore and not in the central jail.
