BJP govt to fall if my supporters quit, says Sriramulu

Bangalore, Nov 22: Former Health Minister of Karnataka, B Sriramulu on Monday strongly reacted over BJP state president KS Eshwarappa's statement and claimed that the BJP government would fall if his supporters in BJP resign.

Eshwarappa claimed that BJP MLAs Somashekara Reddy, Nagendra and Suresh Babu would campaign for the BJP candidate Gadi Lingappa in the Bellary Rural assembly constituency.

“If they want to campaign for Sriramulu, they should quit their assembly membership as they have been elected on BJP symbol. They should end this double game of supporting Sriramulu while remaining members of BJP," said Eshwarappa.

Sriramulu expressed his anger over Eshwarappa"s statement and said, “If they quit, the BJP government will collapse. Then I will be blamed for it. BJP leaders should think of the consequences before they speak about my supporters."

However, Sriramulu asked for karnataka chief minister DV Sadananda Gowda's response over the issue.

“We are not scared of such threats. Such threats have been there for the past three years as Congress and JD(S) used every trick to bring down the BJP government. They failed in their mission and Sriramulu too would meet the same fate," said CM DV Sadananda Gowda

He accused former Chief Minister HD Kumaraswamy of joining hands with Sriramulu in this game, which could destabilise the government. Ex-chief Minister of Karnataka, BS Yeddyurappa on Tuesday was forced to campaign in Bellary despite of bad health.
