Prostitution Racket
Bangalore, Nov 22: The sleuths of the Central Crime Branch (CCB) raided a posh hotel on Brigade road and busted an inter-state prostitution racket.

Two women, both of 21-years who came from Uzbekistan and three pimps were arrested. S V Guled, Assistant Commissioner of police claimed that Gulnoz and Sabirova, the accused had come to India last year on a tourist visit but didn't return back to their country.

"Gulnoz is part of an interstate sex racket being operated across metro cities," said Guled. She used to shift frequently from one place to another to avoid detection by the crime branch.

Guled admitted that Syed Usman, the owner of Hotel Brigade Palace is also the kingpin of the racket. He hired Gulnoz and few other women from Andhra Pradesh.

"Usman is now on the run and efforts are being made to nab him," he said. Police said that women of 21-28 years who came to India, would have earned over Rs 5 lakh in a month from this business.

Investigations have revealed that some women came to India on tourist visas from some economically challenged countries.

"We have also nabbed three pimps, Rakesh, Syed Sameer and M S Sandeep. Along with Gulnoz, we have nabbed a 24-year-old call girl identified as Pari from Andhra Pradesh, who was staying in the hotel to entertain hotel guests," he added.
