"This directive was given during a two-day meeting of workers at Ralegan Siddhi," said Hazare's aide Suresh Pathare.
The meeting of the functionaries of Bhrashtachar Virdodhi Jan Andolan concluded on Sunday, Nov 20 at his native village-Ralegan Siddhi.
No candidate or party will be allowed to use the anti-corruption crusader's image or name during campaigning.
Hazare also directed his team members that a case be filed against political parties if they are found to be using his name or picture during poll campaigns, said Pathare.
Anna, in the meeting also said that he would go on another agitation if the Maharashtra government failed to strengthen the Lokayukta in the state.
The septuagenarian in Sept had written a letter to Prithviraj Chavan, Chief Minister of Maharashtra demanding a strong Lokayukta in the state.
