Porbandar, Nov 20: Gujarat Chief Minister, Narendra Modi, who has launched a Sadbhavna Mission challenging vote-bank politics in the country, resumed his one-day-long fast on Sunday, Nov 20. This time he chose Mahatma Gandhi's birth place - Porbandar as his venue of fast.

It would be interesting to see how people would react to the fast held by the chief minister as Porbandar is known as a place of stronghold by the Congress. Meanwhile, Congress MP Vitthal Radadiya reportedly is also planning to start a counter-fast competing with Modi at the same place.

Modi, as a part of his Sadbhavna Mission, held another fast on Saturday at Bhachau in Kutch district and hurled enough attack on the Congress.

Modi, criticising Congress indirectly, said, "Some political parties just cater to the sections which they perceive to be their vote bank and ignore others."

"But, Gujarat has challenged this vote bank politics in a unique way by Sadbhavna Mission. We have shown a way for change by giving a slogan 'development for all, appeasement for none," added the CM.

However, trying to show BJP's work in the state, Modi also claimed, "We have made the country realised that casteism, communalism, regionalism can secure a chair (power) for few but if the state and the country want to progress they have to follow developmental politics."
