Nationalist Congress Party targeted Vandana for her stand on the proposed biodiversity park (BDP).
Shiv Sena commented on the NCP that it was wrong on the party's part. Neelam Gorhe, the spokesperson of Shiv Sena claimed that NCP supports environmental issues to gain popularity. On the other side, it ignored Vandana's stand on BDP. She said that Shiv Sena has supported her despite of having political differences.
NCP leader and deputy chief minister Ajit Pawar had taken a stand to save the hills to publicize their party and he also protected the vested interest of landowners. He didn't tell the chief minister that NCP opposes allowing construction in the proposed BDP.
However, Shiv Sena also wants to protect the hills and has opposed the construction in the proposed BDP. After chief minister declared for the construction, if the state government allows the construction in the BDP, the party would launch a campaign against the decision, she added.
The Congress and NCP are causing damage to the environment, said group leader of Shiv Sena.
Meanwhile, Vandana had publicly opposed allowing construction in the BDP and it was supported by Ajit Pawar.
