Jharkhand marks 12th foundation day Jharkhand marks 12th foundation day Ranchi, Nov 15 (PTI) Jharkhand today launchedgovernment accounts for girls of BPL families which would growto over Rupees one lakh at the age of 21 to mark its 12thfoundation day. Under the 'Mukhya Mantri Ladli Laxmi Yozana', thegovernment would deposit Rs 6000 per year in the account of agirl child of BPL families between zero and five years whowould receive Rs 1,11,000 on attaining the age of 21. The scheme was launched in the presence of ChiefMinister Arjun Munda, Governor Syed Ahmed and other leaders. Beneficiaries from BPL families received passbooksfrom them. November 15 this year to November 15 next year wasalso declared as 'Girl child and Protection of Childhood'. A capacity crowd at the Birsa Munda stadium wasenthralled with traditional dances to film numbers, cyclingand songs.
