Mamata Banerjee
Kolkata, Nov 14: It's a shame for all Indians, especially for West Bengal government which left infants to die. When the nation celebrates Children's Day on Monday, Nov 14, 6 more infants died in Malda Medical College. More than 25 cribs died in last one month and most surprisingly the Chief Minister of the state, Mamata Banerjee has not address the issue yet.

Mamata, who can storm police station for arresting her party (Trinamool Congress) workers for few hours, has not yet visited the hospitals where kids have been left to die over lack of treatment. However, doctors claimed that the deceased were admitted in critical conditions.

Meanwhile, the governor of the state, MK Narayanan defended Mamata by saying, "infants death is not a good news but condition in West Bengal is not as bad as any other state."

"...things can not be changed in a day. State government will look into the issue," added the governor while shielding Mamata. However, Narayanan's statement seems to have failed to console general people who demand strong action and not "worthless statement" from the state government.

Here it can be recalled that the disturbing trend has come to the focus when the state saw as many as 11 crib deaths at the famous BC Roy Hospital in Kolkata followed by Burdwan Hospital and Malda Medical college.

A probe was ordered into the abnormal deaths of the infants, however, no breakthrough has yet been found out in the investigation.
