On Sep 27, Bhilwara Dairy chairman's wife Paras Devi, the victim was died in a hospital under mysterious circumstances.
The district administration was put under pressure by the minister and he forced the administration to conduct the postmortem in the midnight, claimed a local newspaper. Jat resigned as he was upset over the false allegations.
"The news has damaged my and my family's image and I am disappointed. So,I resigned," said Jat.
Jat is the third one in the Ashok Gehlot's ministry who resigned this year after Waqf Amin Khan Rural Development minister and Water Resoucres minister Mahipal Maderna.
